What writing IS about--always, regardless of the genre--is the reader. For any writer, I believe, the reader should be first in mind. This is why the concept of "literary fiction" or "high art" disgusts me, because most of the time those products are beyond the understanding of 99% of the people who experience them. You write this book and I'll write "How NOT to Make a Living as a Writer" because I'm an expert. Actually, I haven't been trying to survive as a writer, yet, so I'm not allowed to complain.
