science and technology….we want to beat everbody and be the smartest nation, the most advanced nation etc.! We were in the beginnings of a “Cold War” with Russia and a race to be the first across the “techno” finish line. The United States wanted to pull away from an agricultural based society to that of a technology based society…unfortunately you can’t eat a micro chip.
it inspired the thought: tv is the future of mankind! no but seriously tv gets broadcast by satellite, so you know aliens are watching our every move!

In the future, our rocket cars with have satellite-receiving navigation systems to guide us. Those navigation systems will be tiny (about the size of a portable TV), and in order to program a route, you will simply show the unit where you want to go.
I think you had second thoughts about admitting that you really wanted to buy that cool toy. Ooops–secret's out now!
