To clear up what I know has amounted to a little bit of confusion: the reason Carrie Prejean and her representatives tried to get Prejean’s ex-boyfriend to lie and say that she was 17 when she made the porno tape of herself is because if she was 17 when she made the tape (she wasn’t; she was 20), that would make it child pornography—-which would make it illegal for anyone to show or sell.

I’ll admit to being someone mystified when three of the biggest cultural “celebrities” out there today are a beauty queen “runner-up”, a failed vice presidential candidate’s daughter’s ex-boyfriend, and the “stars” of a show on TLC.
If it's any conciliation John I do not see Ms Prejean as a representative for your faith.
I do think she needs to, um, well, grow up a bit…..
Is Prejean a legit surname? I'm thinking Preboxer might be a good pen-name for me. Ric Preboxer. Now, if only I'd made a sex tape… so many missed opportunities.

I just watched her performance on “Larry King Live” at

and my first reaction is, “She wrote a book?”! Seriously?
My second reaction is that she comes across as a spoiled brat. She wants the whole universe to line up her way. When she’s asked a remotely-challenging question, she has a temper tantrum. Everything she’s done has been about her. She didn’t win the stupid pageant, so she crusaded all over right-wing TV and radio accusing everyone else of persecuting her. When she got fired (possibly because she was going all over TV and radio accusing her employer of persecuting her … just a thought), she did more of the same.
When she gets caught with semi-nude pictures, and now a porno video, she pretends that those were accidents and whatnot, that they’re being released to “Palinize” her, etc..
I guess she does have something in common with Gov. Palin — they’re both highly overrated by people willing to substitute ideology for intellect, and they whine whenever they’re criticized.
