As of today I’m blogging for The Huffington Post. I’ll supply le’ skam on the skinny either later this evening or the first thing tomorrow morning, but in the meantime (if you would—and comment, too, if you would!) … check it out:
My first post on The Huffington Post.

It’s so … interesting, sometimes.

Have you done a post here on how you see the Bible?
I think most people just assume I use my eyes.
You are a remarkably gifted writer when you write about humor and other light stuff, but when you write articles like “What Would Jesus Do if Invited To A Gay Wedding?” you are not very good. Your understanding of scriptures, especially what Jesus said (the red letters) is inadequate to justify your stances.
So, why not listen to what James said? “Let not many of you become teachers, my brethren, knowing that as such, we will incur a stricter judgment.” (James 3:1)
I prefer listening to Jesus, if that's okay with you.
Interesting perspective, but as far as I could see you didn’t even try to answer the question of what would Jesus do if he were invited to a gay wedding.
But hey, I don't blame you. The title really made me want to read it, and I assume that's the point.
Oh. Dang. I hate it when that happens.
Thank you, Red. It's really sweet of you to … get it, basically. And I'll tell you what: more than ever before, it's REALLY made me appreciate … well, readers like you, who've been with me for a pretty long time now.
Holy crap, man, nice gig! CONGRATULATIONS!!!
