Right now always

by John Shore on September 17, 2012 in Christian Spirituality · 10 comments

Looking about ourselves

right now

we dare not believe

what God himself

wants us

dares us

begs us

to believe

which is that he is there.

And there.

And there.

And there.

And here.

Right now

always.

“It cannot be!” we say to ourselves

It cannot be.

We, after all, know better.

We, after all, know the ways

of this unforgiving world.

I hang out here with the John Shore gang because I admire everyone’s openness to consider other views of God and because of the honest dialogs. This post is wonderful, and I look around the world and see Someone’s gorgeous creation … still, when I look around the world, I’m also so very disappointed … children are what get to me the most, we inflict so much pain upon them, and nature is – by design, it seems – so brutal to the innocent.

God seems like Elvis, and it appears Elvis has left building.

“Right now always” – simple words but so powerful … I want to carry these with me today, and tomorrow, and the next day…
Thank you John and Catherine (good people of the world)

I improve a little every time I’m here. This time, I breathe a little more deeply. xoxo
