Subsequent to the release of Rob Bell’s Love Wins I received a lot of emails from people inquiring as to my thoughts on hell. As it happens I had a few, and so was glad to begin writing on the matter. (I was pleasantly surprised when, after having published the fourth or so such piece, Rob Bell himself sent me an email that said only, “You are awesome.” Later, during one his sermons at Mars Hill that I felt especially inspired, Rob quoted at length from an essay contained in this book.)
It is my contention that the traditional Christian ideas about hell are grossly erroneous, damaging to the faith, and theologically untenable. I believe that in the ten short essays of Hell, No! I prove this to be true. I know that’s a crazy-sounding thing to say. But there it is.
Reader reviews:
“I just read Hell No! Extinguishing Christian Hellfire. LOVED it! Thanks very much!” — Tammy Lubbers, 8/30/2011
“Thank you for writing what I’ve believed For so long but could never adequately explain.” — Laura Marie, 9/19/2011
“I finished reading Hell No! last night and I have to tell you how much I appreciate your thoughts and beliefs. I’ve struggled all my life as a Christian to reconcile hell and my precious Jesus, and a few years ago came to the conclusion that either hell didn’t exist, or no one would ever be there. Jesus died for all sins and owns all sins and, as you said, only he has the final say on who is reconciled to himself. Reading the prodigal son and seeing how both sons were accepted by the father, I think I know how we will all be received. Thank you for being a voice in the wilderness. Blessings!” — Nicole Villacres, 11/5/2011

Please, please, publish Hell No. as a soft cover book. There are so many Christians that need to hear this and who don’t have computers or Kindles etc.
I spend all day in front of a computer at work. In a library. When I get home I want to read a book in my comfy chair with just a reading lamp on. And a cat on my lap. Please do release a hard copy. Please.
